Links/Info

This is a list of internet links I think are helpful. It’s just a start and I’ll be adding others as I go along. If you want to recommend one, just let me know.

pandys.org, Pandora’s Project, or Pandora’s Aquarium, is a non-profit on-line service with a multitude of resources. It has a chat room where you can share your story with others who will understand, who have been there too. A key part of healing is being able to connect with others who understand, who have been there too. You can make friends on pandys.org and possibly find people who may live in your area. I had a very positive experience with pandys.org. I made some friends there.

RAD stands for Rape Aggression Defense. I had once thought I couldn’t scream. I was sure I would go mute. After RAD training, I know I can shout, maybe not scream but I know I can talk tough. Although I’ve forgotten the specifics of the moves, I don’t back down now and sometimes, not always but a lot of cases, that’s all that is needed. RAD has programs all over the country. I strongly recommend them. “The mission of the R.A.D. Systems is to establish an accessible, constantly improving and internationally respected alliance of dedicated Instructors. These Instructors in turn, will provide educational opportunities for women, children, men and seniors to create a safer future for themselves. In doing this, we challenge society to evolve into an existence where violence is not an acceptable part of daily life.”
