Joe Biden-Champion of Women and/or Sexual Predator
Joe Biden cannot be president. I’ve been ashamed of my country since Donald Trump took office. I know Joe Biden was chosen to become the democratic nominee but he’s not my candidate by a long shot. I was ready to go along with his candidacy regardless of my reservations but after learning of Tara Reade’s assault by Biden in 1993, I can no longer stomach Biden as a choice. If he is the only choice I have, I will vote for him. That’s a given. I don’t want Trump. I’ll have to hold my nose to do it but I will. But I don’t want to do that. It’s not that he’s a great candidate anyway. He’s too old. I’m his age and I’m too old to be president. We need someone young and strong to lead the country, not an old man. Biden has too much baggage and Bernie Sander’s supporters probably won’t vote for him.
Tara Reade’s interview is long but important. Take an hour to listen to it maybe while you are in the car or eating alone during Coronavirus time.
It’s something you must do.
Our country is in denial. Alexandra Tara Reade’s story of her sexual assault should be enough to force the Democratic party to question Biden’s fitness for the presidency. He can’t stop it with a simple denial. It won’t work as a strategy. I don’t think Reade is the end of it, meaning I don’t think she is the only person who has been assaulted by Biden. There may be others, others who will come forward if Reade’s story is treated respectfully, if she is given the support she needs. They won’t come forward in the censorious atmosphere that is now surrounding Reade’s allegations.
The Democratic Party wants to win the election and defeat Trump, an outcome both Tara Reade and I also want. This is probably also something that any potential Biden accuser will most likely also want. I doubt if Biden went around attacking Republican women. His access has been to Democratic women, women who admired him and like me thought he was their champion. These women, if they exist, will come forward later either just before the election and Biden will lose to Trump or after the election and Biden will lose credibility. Even if he wins, we will just be putting another patriarch to the white house. Biden is too old, too weak and too much of a creature of the past to be our president.
Why isn’t Tara Reade on national television so everyone who wants to hear her allegation can hear and see her first hand. They are still trying to control the story. She had another much shorter interview with Democracy Now. If you didn’t have time for the first video. Maybe you have time for this one.
Tara Reade went to Times Up, an organization launched in 2017 to help victims of sexual violence. The 501(c)(3) organization had one of the most successful Go Fund Me campaigns in history thanks to the SKDKnickerbocker, a public affairs and political consulting firm that specializes in working for Democratic Party politicians. It has offices in Washington, DC, New York City, Los Angeles, CA, and Albany, New York. Let’s call them SKDK for short. Why do I mention this? Because it is connected. The Director of the Times Up fund is Anita Dunn and Anita Dunn is also the Director of Joe Biden’s Campaign Fund. Additionally, she is also the managing director of SKDK. She has known and been connected to Biden for many years. She knew him in the White House where she was named Communications Director in 2009 under Obama. Okay, I hope you got all that. Now to the question a lot of people are asking.
Why did Tara Reade wait so long to come forward?
The answer is she didn’t. In fact, in January of this year, 2020, she contacted Times Up to help her get her story out there. Reade says they were very compassionate but couldn’t help her because, if they did, they would lose their 501(c)(3) status. I don’t know about that but to me it sounds like they strung her along for a several months and then told her sorry we can’t help you. Reade says that Times Up suggested lawyers but when she contacted the suggested lawyers, they declined to be involved.
Remember the Anita Dunn connection? Anita Dunn is the director of both Times Up and Joe Biden’s publicity campaign. I can well understand how Times Up would be troubled to represent Tara Reade. According to Breitbart News (I hate to use this citation but it the only reference I found to this), Joe Biden’s campaign fund paid the Times Up Legal Fund $806,000 in January and February, 2020. Isn’t it interesting that January, 2020 is exactly when Tara Reade showed up at the Times up offices with her story of the assault by Biden? I’ll repeat that for emphasis. Isn’t it interesting that January, 2020 is exactly when Tara Reade showed up at the Times up offices with her story of the assault by Biden?
There is something else on my mind about this story. Tara Reade is not a beautiful and famous movie star like the Weinstein victims but I bet she was most likely quite fetching in 1993, when she was in her early 20’s, and working in Biden’s senate office. Also, this is the time of Coronavirus and the interviews we do have of her are zoomed or skyped where she doesn’t have the advantage of television makeup and lighting. She’s doing all of this on her own.
Tara Reade is a lifelong Democrat and she doesn’t want her story to be politicized by right- wing news outlets. She has contacted many mainstream media outlets but they don’t want to schedule an interview. She is going to the only news outlet who accepted her, Fox News. She didn’t want this. It was forced on her.
A media blackout happened recently to another victim of sexual violence, the British girl who was allegedly raped by 12 Israelis in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. It took three or four months for the mainstream news to cover her story then the New York Times, the Guardian and the Washington Post among others finally came out.
Why did mainstream media wait so long?
I think mainstream media still questions whether rape really really happens. They carry stories about rape in India or Spain or Nigeria but these are generalized stories, not individual cases. No chances are taken. Also, there are mostly men in charge and men question whether it was a really real assault or rape because you know, it’s so easy for a woman to take revenge by crying rape. Had to say that. It’s really, really true.
Reade told a number of people about the assault. The first was her mother. There is a video of Tara’s mother calling in to the Larry King Live show in 1993. She asks this question.
“Hello. I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington. My daughter has just left there after working for a prominent senator and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.”
It’s true that Tara respected Joe Biden even after he assaulted her. Why? Joe Biden was chairman of the Judiciary committee and a strong promoter of the Violence Against Women Act of 1993. No-one used the words, sexual assault, back then. Some men check a woman’s vagina to see if they’re ready-you know wet. If she wet, she’s ready, right guys? Anyway, I bet certain thoughts went through Tara’s head. One thought was that her career was ruined when she refused Biden. He was angry. She had displeased him. And he had pointed at her and said, “You’re nobody.” She knew she was nobody; she knew that this was categorically true. Who wouldn’t have been aware of the tremendous power differential between them. “You’re okay” he said as if willing it true. She was 23 and most likely in shock, in other words, in Tonic Immobility. She just wanted to stay out of trouble.
Several people have vouched that she told them about the assault. Her ex-neighbor, Lynda LaCasse remembers. Lorraine Sanchez who worked with her in the 1990s after she left Biden’s office, remembers, and her brother remembers. Maybe there are others. I think it happened.
I’ve always kind of liked Joe Biden. He’s upper class despite his humble stories, and he’s from Delaware, the company state. There’s also a connection to DuPont Corporation I haven’t been able to track down. Maybe someone else knows what it is.
I feel there are other women out there that haven’t come forward. Is this a one-off? Maybe, but when a man enjoys such power, he usually does it more than once and Tara Reade has had a hell of a time getting the story out there. If she is treated with the respect she deserves, others may come forward.
There are women who have been made uncomfortable. Biden is reportedly kind of handsy. The Cut has a summary article listing women who have come forward with stories about their discomfort.
Lucy Flores – 2014 – is a pretty young woman who at the time was a Nevada lieutenant governor nominee. Biden surprised her from behind, put his hands on her shoulders, and inhaled her hair. He then gave her a slow kiss on the back of her head. She described the incident in an essay for The Cut. If you read the article you will see a photo of Biden with his hand on the waist of Eva Longoria, Nevada actress and activist. His hand is a little higher than the waist. Ms Longoria hasn’t complained. I wonder how she felt?
Amy Lapos, 2019, was a congressional aide for U.S. representative Jim Himes. She said, “He[Biden] put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth.”
D. J. Hill, 2012, is a writer. She says he put his hands on the shoulders of both her and her husband. Biden’s hand then made a slow descent down her back to her waist. Her husband noticed her discomfort and made a joke to alleviate it.
Caitlyn Caruso, 2016, is a sexual assault survivor. She was 19 when at an event on sexual assault Biden rested his hand on her thigh. She said she squirmed in her seat to show her discomfort — and hugged her “just a little bit too long” at the campus event.
Ally Coll, 2008, was a young democratic staffer when at a reception, Biden squeezed her shoulders, complimented her smile, and held her “for a beat too long.” She comments that the power differential can turn something “innocuous into something that can make somebody feel uncomfortable.”
Vail Kohnert-Yount, 2013, was a young white house staffer. She said he “put his hand on the back of [her] head and pressed his forehead to [her] forehead” when he introduced himself, and that he called her a “pretty girl.”
R Kelly
I’ve just finished the R Kelly documentary on Netflix and it’s fresh in my mind. Maybe you’ve heard of the R. Kelly’s story, how for 30 years the angel-voiced singer manipulated his public persona all the while abusing teenaged black girls. He locked them up, deprived them of food, and wouldn’t allow them to bathe or use the toilet unless he said they could. He raped the girls, and actually urinated in their faces. When tales of the urination fetish were leaked to the press, Kelly and his publicity department went into overdrive. Skits were done of Kelly urinating in the faces of black girls. Everyone laughed. How could it be true. After all the black community was proud of Kelly. His was a true rags to riches story. He was a black man who had made it to the big time.
Do you notice something here? This is exactly what we are doing with Joe Biden except this time it’s whites who are doing the management control. The truth will come out. Once Biden becomes President, it will gnaw at the craw of women who have been abused by him. I know they are out there. They may have tried to come forward, like R. Kelly’s accusers, but weren’t believed. Alexandra Tara Reade came forward. She tried to report the assault in 1993, the year it happened but no one listened. No one cared. She quietly slunk off into the dark abyss of victimhood. She tried to tell her story numerous times. They just weren’t listening. Here again she is telling her story of how Joe Biden, good guy, sexually assaulted her and she is telling it in very clearly, very believably. Please listen to the interview embedded at the beginning of this post.
Kelly is now in jail. It’s a consequence of his actions. He thought he could get away with anything. He succeeded for 30 years. The two stories, Biden’s and Kelly’s may well be parallel. Stop hedging. Actually find out.
